Verse Of The Day:
"Be still, and know that I am God"... (Psalm 46:10) [NIV] Verse Of The Day loading... Saturday, August 28, 2010 On thursday, Rev Lau taught about the various ways we can pray, and i realised that praying with the book of Psalm is really very enlightening! As i read through Psalm 121, it just makes me feel even more touched and empowered because the Lord is watching over me and He never sleeps even though i may be sleeping. I relate it to someone staying up all night to keep virgil over a dying man.. just like the scenes portrayed in so many local dramas.. the want to spend every single moment with that person, and the longing for the person to get better, and the desire for the person to just wake up and to start talking..... and somehow, through this, i think about God.. the all powerful omnipotent and omnipresent God, standing beside us while we sleep, looking at us sleeping peacefully, and hoping that one day, we can get closer to Him, the Father.. and this became my prayer to our Father today. I lift up my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip — he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you — the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. [Psalm 121 NIV]
