以色列人已背离了上帝，而上帝要何西阿向他们表达：这是如何伤祂的心。因此，我们在何西阿书的头几章看见一个奇异的故事：上帝命令这位先知娶一个叫歌篾的妓女。因着信实的丈夫却有着不忠诚的配偶，何西阿体会到深深的痛苦，这种痛苦和上帝因以色列人灵里不忠而受到的伤害颇为相似。

在何西阿书的末了，他却写得非常清楚：即使以色列人给这位又真又活的上帝带来如此深的伤害，祂仍承诺，只要他们回转向上帝，祂会赐医治、宽恕及丰盛。祂说：「我必医治他们背道的病，甘心爱他们……曾住在他荫下的必归回」（何西阿书14章4-7节）。

背离上帝的人，他的生活特征往往就是罪与不满足。真正重生的人，因着曾经掉入罪的生活型态中，就深知灵里对上帝不忠是要付上多么大的代价。

如同上帝给予以色列人宽恕及丰盛的恩典，即使在今天，祂仍要将重生赐给真正忏悔的人（约翰一书1章9节）。你是否曾做了个错误的选择，使得你自己跌倒？回来吧。今天就悔改，并寻求与主恢复亲密的关系。

indeed, so often we seek an intimate relationship with God.. but this article, even though it didn't mention directly, reminds me that there is a price to pay if you want to get intimate in a relationship..

to start off, we need to spend time to communicate.. and we also need to be passionate about it, constantly thinking about it day and night.. and we have to put in effort to please the other party..

all these seem so natural and logical in worldly context, why would we not learn to apply it to God as well..
