Today was the last lesson of the "Spiritual Formation" classes by Rev Liu. In it, i've learnt that it is not only important to know God, but also know myself.. looking at myself from a more objective 3rd person perspective, memories of my past thoughts, my deeds, having a real sense of history about myself which all make up my identity so to speak. Recognising who we are - our flaws, our misdeeds, our tendencies, our gifts, our graciousness, our history, etc - and knowing that God has accepted us just as we are is a really big step towards knowing ourselves more and God. Personally, through it all, I saw God's gracious hand upon me, and His mercy in accepting me just as I am. Thank You Lord!

haha! hymns are so lovely and meaningful! we really don't need to bother how people see or judge us, but we are set free by the Spirit and we know that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God.
