Verse Of The Day:
"Be still, and know that I am God"... (Psalm 46:10) [NIV] Verse Of The Day loading... Thursday, November 18, 2010 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you. [1 Peter 1:22-25] "All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field".. if we picture it, we're indeed like grass, nothing special about us.. but the special moment comes when flowers grow and rise up above the patch of common grasses.. and since the flower is so brightly coloured, we cannot miss it.. and in the same way, we are all described to be like grass, but when we obey the truth and love one another deeply, our actions rise up like flowers.. and in even more biological terms, the grass will die.. but the flowers by shining forth gets pollinated and the seeds ensure the survival of the species.. in other words, our genuine love for others will not die even though our world bodies may perish.. but what we learn and what we do will not perish.. these verses remind me to follow the Word and to love, and to pursue what is eternal.. indeed we are just merely the mist the morning that will soon disappear, we need to treasure every moment of our lives..
