Verse Of The Day:
"Be still, and know that I am God"... (Psalm 46:10) [NIV] Verse Of The Day loading... Monday, November 8, 2010 It is truly a struggle, because of our human pride, to "consider others better than ourselves" and to serve one another lovingly knowing that everyone is an image of God. http://www.desiringgod.org/resource-library/taste-see-articles/what-is-humility http://www.desiringgod.org/resource-library/ask-pastor-john/how-do-you-remain-humble http://www.desiringgod.org/resource-library/resources/how-to-fight-the-sin-of-pride-especially-when-you-are-praised Above are some interesting resources to help us in our perserverance towards Christ humility. The song below talks about Jesus' example, and may it spur us to enjoy serving God and others humbly which God so delights in. Enjoy! In an upstairs room, a parable is just about to come alive. And while they bicker about who's best, with a painful glance, He'll silently rise. Their Savior Servant must show them how through the will of the water and the tenderness of the towel. And the call is to community, The impoverished power that sets the soul free. In humility, to take the vow, that day after day we must take up the basin and the towel. In any ordinary place, on any ordinary day, the parable can live again when one will kneel and one will yield. Our Saviour Servant must show us how through the will of the water and the tenderness of the towel. And the space between ourselves sometimes is more than the distance between the stars. By the fragile bridge of the Servant's bow we take up the basin and the towel.
