Jesus follows the Father's Timetable John 7 repeatedly mentioned Jesus saying "my time has not yet come", showing that Jesus (and the world around him) resolves around God's plan and God's timing. (verses 6,8,30,33) one thing i've noted is that Jesus KNEW the timetable of God - that is, he didn't just say "i don't know when, but when the time comes i'll take action".. but he knows the time when he said in verse 33 "i shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who went Me". so from this i've learnt of the need to know God's will and to be AWARE of things and not just to leave things in plain surrender.. rather, i see it as having a need to know how things go in preparation and to wait for the final cue from God.. to me, this changes alot of things because i no longer just "wash my hands off the issue and wait", but i see the need to seek God and to plan my own resolution and then to wait patiently for God to say "Go".. and it's so very easy to just wash our hands off any issue.. but the way i see it, this is very irresponsible and definitely not how Jesus does things.. although some people might call it faith, i'd prefer to call it blind faith.. as Hebrews 11:1 puts it "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.".. we need to be confident (means well prepared for it) in what we hope for.. and not to throw in the towel and hand the basin to God..
