WOW what a wonderful message preached today!!

the Westminster Confession of Faith, chapter 1 can be found here:

reading it again, i find that section 11 is a very good reminder for myself:
The whole counsel of God concerning all things necessary for His own glory, man's salvation, faith and life, is either expressly set down in Scripture, or by good and necessary consequence may be deduced from Scripture: unto which nothing at any time is to be added, whether by new revelations of the Spirit, or traditions of men.

indeed so often we tend to relate to God's Words by our own standards today, but we are certainly using the wrong measure for it.. and what's even more striking is that - ALL THINGS necessary for God's glory, man's SALVATION, FAITH and LIFE can be found or deduced from the scripture.. so that essentially means EVERYTHING that we need can be found in the scripture..

so why aren't we reading and meditating on it like it's the bible of Life? oh wait, it IS the Bible of life!!

we need to set our minds right and to take action to read God's Words more and to meditate on it and understand the meaning behind this book that teaches us everything that we will ever need..

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. [James 2:26)
Without deeds that demonstrate our faith, are we really sure that we believe? or we think so.. belief needs passion, commitment, and the need to carry it's burdens..
