By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. [1 Corinthians 3:10-15] This really reminds us that we reap what we sow.. when we are halfhearted when we talk to people or when we help others, it will show.. and what's more is that we are working on foundations that are built by people before us.. and there will be people building on our work as their foundation.. so if we build do a bad job, the workers after us has to suffer.. it doesn't only concern ourselves.. And not just to our ministry to people as well, but also to our own lives as we seek God.. once again, we reap what we sow.. and only what that survives after putting through the rest of fire will be seen.. so outwardly appearances never count!!
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness” [1 Corinthians 3:19] so what are we pursuing, again??
Amen! "For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men." ~1 Corinthians 1:25 Am really amazed at God because He always uses the foolish to shame the wise. He approached the Samaritan woman but the Pharisee Nicodemus had to approach Him! He chose 12 ordinary laypeople to be His apostles! And even humbled Saul the Pharisee or if you will apostle Paul. Just look at what He did to King Nebuchadnezzar and King Herod.. imba lol..
