Our hearts are really just so hard, we need God to renew and transform us EVERYDAY, EVERY MOMENT. not just at one point in time and then it's ok.. It is so easy to be dull in hearing God's voice, the Spirit's promptings, all we need is to turn to Worldly things and turn away from God. All we need is just to drift.. John Piper said there is no neutral gear in the Christian life, but it is always on reverse if we do nothing, and we so need God everyday to help us put it into forward gear, to give us a new heart that is born again.. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick..." (Jeremiah 17:9) and "... what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander." (Matthew 15:18-19)
Oh that God would do a transforming work in us every moment!
