Jesus returns..

with his waist scarred from the lashing,
face littered with scratches,
the skin on the back torn and rough,
with holes through his hands and feet.

is this the God we have been expecting??

He is not one who is dressed in fine silk and coming behind a full chariot,
He is one who is asking us to return to Him, knowing all that He has done for us.

He is a God who SUFFERED for us,
He is a God who CRIED for us,
He is a God who REMEMBERS us when He was crucified,
He is a God who DIED for us.

ARE WE STILL NOT TOUCHED BY THIS SELFLESS LOVE??
