Spiritual deadness is such a frightening and powerful state to be in we need the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to see God for who He really is. In fact, we do not become aware of our own deadness until the Holy Spirit shows us we are. The peace, ministry, grace, faith, hope, love that God ministers to us is not felt in spiritually dead people because nothing resonates in our emotions, thinking.. We want the world, our own happiness. But isn't true happiness found when God is glorified and when we share in such joy and are instruments of as well as witnesses to His glory?

Some things that may help us in such dryness:
1. Our understanding or imagination of who God DOES NOT SHAPE who God ACTUALLY IS.
2. Truly seeing God for who He is is the work of the Holy Spirit.
3. The Word of God, i mean the uttered word of God in the bible in this case, with the work of the Holy Spirit is essential in reviving our deadened souls.
4. "Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened." ~pursue to know who God actually is with a humble heart.
